Please read the previous update below for some initial context. As we mentioned in our emails leading up to this batch – we planned on having the previous batches turnaround time incredibly quick. Unfortunately, UPS lost / destroyed around 30 barrels in transit, which is the last piece of the puzzle. We’ve since repurchased more, and plan on having them in-hand before the end of next week. As soon as September’s batch mails out, you can expect October’s batch to be quickly behind.
We’re becoming much quicker on our turnaround times, and optimizing our internal processes. We hope to continue the pace.
**UPDATE 09/17/2026**
We feel it’s time, and we’re finally ready to open the next backorders of TA61’s. For the sake of transparency, we have less than ~10 orders to finalize on the previous May 2026 batch, including those from RI / VA / CO who needed to send theirs back in for finalization. Final QC checks on those (live fire) will occur this weekend, and will be packaged & shipped shortly thereafter.Â
Regarding the plans for this batch – Titus Arms has officially hired full-time help, and we have temporary help flying in tomorrow that will assist with manufacturing & shipping for the rest of the month. Because of this, we expect to have these shipped out by the end of September – but to account for any delays, we’re going to put a timeline of 4-6 weeks on these.
After the fulfillment of this batch, we plan on doing another one mid-late October.
As of 11/1/2026, the TA61 is now available in an SBR configuration! The additional $5 is due to increased paperwork and associated costs with doing SBRs. We are based in North Carolina, which is still an “NFA State”.
Well, It’s finally coming. The VZ61 Skorpion is a legendary Czech submachine gun, known for its compact size and low recoil in .32 ACP. Featuring a budget-friendly 3D-printed carbon fiber nylon 6 receiver, this version provides a lightweight and affordable alternative to traditional metal receivers, while still delivering functionality for enthusiasts. Compared to other competitors, These receivers do include the original metal safety, the rear-dovetail, the factory rate-reducer, and a 1/2-28 threaded barrel. This in-house semi-automatic clone is built from original surplus Czech parts kits, so some signs of wear or blemishes may be expected. (They also add character!)
Each pistol includes:
- Dovetail to 1913 rail adapter
- both 10- and 20-round magazines
- Â Surplus VZ cleaning kit
- Hard case for transportation & storage
The recommended ammo for these are 7.65 browning branded ammo in 73 grain. Higher grainer, higher powered ammo is preferred for max reliability. The main ones we’ve tested are modern Fiocchi 73gr 7.65 browning and S&B 73 grain.
Officially, all Titus Arms VZ61’s will include a 1 year limited warranty. Unofficially, we will provide a warranty for part & receiver failures during the duration these are actively produced.

Solid build. Took a while but they delivered and apologized for the lateness and not communicating. They explained the reasons. Firearm is excellent and well done. Very pleased.
Wasn’t expecting the case, quality build for the price.
I purchased my TA61 on May 3, it arrived at my FFL September 17th; which is a 137 days. …Thus, be patient, as it’s just a 2-man team at Titus Arms.
I took it to the range today using Sellier & Bellot 73gr FMJ ammo, which was boxed 34 years ago (October of 1992). I shot a total of 117 rounds thru it [gg Master Chief], & I only experienced 1 FTF. I chronographed this 34yr old ammo, out of the 4.5″ barrel, & it’s traveling at 1,065fps, which equals 185ft/lb of energy. That 185fl/lb of E is exactly 10 more E than the 95gr FMJ .380ACP ammo I use in my 2.75″ Bodyguard 2.0. …Needless to say, the right ammo will surpass .380ACP’s performance, which is helped by the 4.5″ barrel ofc.
I forgot to bring my 9mm suppressor to try the TA61 suppressed, but I’m sure it’ll be quiet enough; the ammo is subsonic. …Anyways, the 3D printed parts are solid, the “parts kit” pieces all look to be in fantastic condition. I’m very happy with this purchase (wait time was long however), it’s totally worth it once you finally hold it in your hands. The trigger is also surprisingly good, which makes up for the lacking sights, but w/e, this thing was designed decades ago. I submitted my Form 1 to the ATF this past weekend, so I’m going to be putting a stock on this very soon.
I’m glad you enjoy the TA61 – and we greatly apologize for the fulfillment delays. With smaller batches / scope & more people coming onboard, we hope to hit much faster fulfillment times 🙂
I ordered the firearm February 24. Finally, the firearm was dropped off for shipment today. Poor communication on Titus’s part. I will probably amend this after I drool over the firearm.
Looks good, and exactly what I was expecting. I’d highly recommend it if you’re on the fence.
