*FINAL DESCRIPTION STILL IN PROGRESS*

Whether you’re a Skorpion fanatic, already own one a VZ61 or one of our TA61s or looking to own a unique piece of Serbian / Yugoslavian history? Look no further than our Titus Arms M84 Skorpions.

Similar to our TA61 Skorpions, this TA-M84 is built on a FDM 3D-Printed carbon-fiber reinforced Nylon-6 receiver, allowing it to be incredibly durable, lightweight, and affordable! These include the Zastava specific factory rate reducer (being slightly different than the Czech VZ61 / TA61), a surplus barrel threaded for 1/2-28, and the original metal safety selector. The dovetail in the receiver is correct for the folding stock, omitting the need for an adapter plate.

These M84’s use authentic surplus Zastava manufactured parts kits, with early years being made in Yugoslavia, before transitioning to Serbia. While the majority of the kits we’re using appears to be in fantastic condition, being preserved in grease & seemingly unissued, please set expectations for signs of use & wear, as these are surplus parts.

Each TA-M84 includes:

  • Dovetail to 1913 Adapter
  • Both 10rnd & 20rnd Magazines
  • M84 Cleaning rod & brush
  • Hard case for transportation & storage

The primary factor for these costing more than our TA61’s are the scarcity of the parts kits, and more labor required to get the cosmoline properly cleaned off. The stocks are generally also in need of repair due to the demill process.

Curious on the differences between the VZ61 and the M84? Keep reading below!

The main difference is the country of origin. While the VZ61 is generally manufactured in the Czech Republic, the M84 was made by Zastava in Yugoslavia, and then Serbia. While this was a licensed reproduction permitted by the Czechs, there are a few physical differences.

On the outside, the M84 uses a very deep gloss black finish for the upper receiver. Similar to very late production VZ61s, the M84 also uses a black polymer grip. Differences can also be spotted in the font used for things such as the upper serial number, and sight aperture distance markings.

Internally, the finish on the internal components of the M84 appear to be different, varying from a medium to very dark purple. The internal parts also appears to feel much smoother, however I’m unsure if this finish is technically better than what the Czechs used.

Mechanically, Zastava appears to have opted to use a horizontally spring loaded “puck” on the bottom rate reducer hook. While I’m not sure, I believe the goal was to help keep the rate reducer hooks centered, preventing a semi-common malfunction in the VZ61 where the hooks can slightly twist, locking the bolt to the rear.
